The Movie Maniac's Picks and Pans: The Book of Eli and The Spy Next Door

The trailer looks good, the story looks awesome and The Book of Eli has Denzel Washington. What else does a film need? Based in a bleak tortured land, sometime in the future, Denzel must save the world. I'm thoroughly excited and cannot wait. The Book of Eli could be the first must see movie of the year.
The Spy Next Door may be just one more babysitting movie but with Jackie Chan who knows. Give The Spy Next Door a chance, I'm betting that the Chan action magic might just make Next Door an ok film diversion.

I didnt like the trailer for Book of Eli half as much as you. To me it looks like I am Legend meets The Road. I think I am giong to wait for this movie on dvd. Denzel is a fantastic actor but to me he is very hit or miss....some of his movies are great like American Gangster and Great Debaters but others are awful like Pelham 123 and Deja Vu.
