Shout out to All My Children's Debbi Morgan and Cornelius Smith, Jr. who took home NAACP Image Awards this past Friday. Morgan and Smith, Jr. were in the company of Gabourey Sidibe who won Best Lead Actress for Precious and Shonda Rimes, who won for Best Writing in Drama Series for Grey's Anatomy. That's great! I think they are both deserving. Of course, their wins were not included in the on-air show, and--unless I missed it--I don't recall their categories even mentioned on the air. That's a shame.

I agree and congrats to them both (both deserving) and Luke I feel that Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams are driving stories on AMC and not just being "talk to" characters. There are times when all the characters on AMC become "talk to" though not just exclusively. I think of all the black characters on daytime soaps - Jesse and Angie have the most visibility and are doing a bang up job and I am awfully proud of them both.
