Celebs Come Together For Haitians Who Lost Limbs During Earthquake



Mick Jagger, L’Wren Scott, Rachel Weisz, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michelle Williams, Sienna Miller, Jude Law, Helmut Lang, John Currin, Rachel Feinstein, Naomi Watts, Zac Posen, Christopher Niquet, Edie Falco, Margery & Ted Mayer, EJ Camp, and  Dr. David Colbert are coming together to host a benefit and auction to raise funds for Haitians who suffered lossed limb during the January earthquake.

All of the events proceeds will go towards the medical care for those who lost limbs in the earthquake. The event will be held on May 6 at The Greenhouse, Scholastic, 557 Broadway, New York. The evening includes a VIP Reception from 6 to 7 pm ET ($750 person), and a Cocktail Party and Auction from 7-10PM ($400/person).

 

Said Dr. Colbert when returning from Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake,

“I came back from Haiti believing that one of the most important things we can do is to provide the prosthetics and related services that people who were injured will need to function again. If each of us does one little thing, it can add up to a very big thing, so we are raising money for a prosthetics clinic in Port au Prince that we know will make a big difference.

The auction will be comprised of works from many designers, photographers and mucians such as a signed by Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, a luxury Yachts of Seabourn cruise and other generous donation.
