This movie starts out in New Orleans right after hurrica Katrina and follows Nicholas Cage's character Terence who is a cop.  He saves a guy who is a prisoner from drowning and in the process hurts his back.  The film then skips 6 months ahead and you see Terence who is still in a lot of pain and has started to take illegal drugs to avoid his back pain.  He then starts seeing a prostitue played by Eva Mendes.  Terence keeps getting into trouble with a lot of different people.  He then even starts to make deals with drug dealers played by Xzibit. 

Overall I would have to say this is the best movie Nicholas Cage has been in years.  I was lucky enough to see it at the dollar theater and dont think its in theaters anymore.  I would definitely recommened it.
