Posting the latest new release movies every week had me thinking about how we buy movies. Generally I buy normal DVD's for those movies I love so much that I need in my movie collection. I don't own a Blu-ray player and I'm skeptical on how popular it is becoming. After the studios finally agreed to support the Blu-ray format (majorly kicked HD DVD's butt in the process), now we are seeing the slow transition to Blu-ray and the conversion of old movie titles into that new format. My concern is that Blu-ray will go the way of the Beta machine (and yes I own two of those damn things too!) I'm already stuck with tons of VHS movies that have little value in todays digital world. What is the point of owning a hard copy format of a movie when you just know in the back of your mind that all future movies will be released entirely on the internet, downloadable to your home or computer. Which begs the question...
Why Type Of Movie Format Do You Buy?
