What some people won't do to make a movie. Apparently Matt Damon completely changed his appearance for The Informant, including a few extra pounds... well, a lot of extra pounds. I'm delighted by the trailer, the clips look good and even the story sounds fun. Matt Damon plays a whistle blower that thinks he's a super spy with hilarious consequences. From the trailer, he nearly gives the G-Men a heart attack. I would not miss this one. Matt Damon is one of my favorites. READ MORE

is back in a new qwirky role in his new film based on a true story, The Informant. The film arriving to theaters October 9, 2009 has Damon joining his Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh.  The story revolves around Mark Whitacre an Ivy League Ph.D. who was a rising star at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in the early 1990s. The bipolar hero wound up blowing the whistle on the company's price fixing tactics and became the highest-ranked executive to ever turn whistleblower in US history. Whitacre secretly gathered hundreds of hours of video and audio tapes over several years to present to the FBI which became one of the largest price fixing cases in history.
